Telangana CM asks Education dept to ensure 100 pass percentage in Intermediate Exams

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed the officials to take steps to ensure 100 per cent pass percentage in Intermediate examination.

In a review meeting with officials of the Education Department on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said even though a large number of students were passing the 10th Standard and joining the Intermediate, the same number of students were unable to pass in the Intermediate examination.

He urged the officials to identify the challenges to achieve a good pass percentage of inter students. More attention should be paid to the enrolment of students in intermediate as well as their attendance, he added.

Reddy suggested to the officials to seek the advice of the Education Commission, NGOs working in the education sector, and civil society. “We will discuss the improvement of intermediate education at all stages in the Legislative Assembly”, he said.

This AI Tool Brings Lost Pets Home. Here’s How It Works

A friend recently shared how overwhelming it was to lose (and thankfully find) their pet, with no idea how to reach the nearly 4 million people living in Los Angeles.

This — and the slew of national pet-related days in July — prompted my research into how to maximize communication output for missing pets. Around 10 million are lost annually in the US alone.

It’s also what led me to wonder how artificial intelligence can help solve this problem for both pets and pet owners. Thankfully, Love Lost — an AI pet recovery platform — also had the same idea.

What is Love Lost and how does it use AI?

A map showing lost and found pets in Los Angeles using an AI app to help locate them

Petco Love/Screenshot by CNET

Love Lost is a free pet recovery platform developed by Petco Love, the nonprofit organization owned by household name Petco that works to support animal adoption, recovery and health care initiatives.

Its free photo-matching service helps reunite lost dogs and cats with their families, using facial recognition technology that analyzes over 512 pet features — like muzzle, shape, tail and markings — to compare your uploaded photo against a national database of shelters, written posts and community submissions.

This is thanks to partnerships with companies like Nextdoor, which leverages its posts, and integration with over 3,000 shelter systems and community platforms for a wider reach. At time of writing, its database includes over 300,000 lost and found pets, with an average of 1,000 pet reunions/month.

How to use Love Lost to find and report missing pets

Navigating and using the Love Lost site is pretty simple — but make sure you have clear photos of the animal you’re submitting ready.

  1. Navigate to the Petco Love Lost page. No sign-up is required for its free photo search feature.
  2. Grab those well-shot photos and submit your missing or found pet including face, body and distinguishing marks.
  3. Once submitted, AI will use pet facial recognition to scan available pet entries to try and pinpoint your pet. I tried this out using an old event flyer featuring a grey pitbull and was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy of animals it retrieved to compare.
  4. If no immediate match is found, you can post your pet as Lost or Found and receive SMS or email updates. Love Lost notes that shelters and other humans will be continually checking the database. Once identified, you can connect through the platform to reunite with your pet safely.

If you haven’t lost a pet, but would like to prepare in case you do, you can register your pet’s photo and details beforehand on Love Lost’s website to expedite the process during an emergency. Love Lost also features Lost & Found Pet Tips on its site for more information.

You can enter the address, cross streets and photos of any stray pets you find on the Love Lost app.

Should you use Love Lost?

Love Lost acts as a bridge for pet parents and their communities to report and locate missing dogs and cats. This provides more eyes (and opportunities) to identify stray animals and reunite them with their owners. I also see it as a complementary tool for shelters, community organizers and even your neighbor who needs a way to identify stray animals quickly.

Petco Love also holds a four-star Charity Navigator rating for transparency and financial accountability and was awarded for its disaster relief grants and innovation in animal welfare in response to the 2025 LA wildfires.

AI Atlas

But while Petco Love states it doesn’t sell your data, language regarding AI data storage and model training is minimal and vague. Its current privacy doesn’t directly address model training, though the organization says it only uses pet images to reunite lost animals and to train its own model for that singular purpose.

Petco Love also states it does not share user data outside of shelters, and that uploaded pet images are intentionally made public to help recover missing animals.

So, yes, there is still risk with any public listing, even of your pet, for scraping or misuse. Animals we consider pets or family are an emotionally charged topic, but it’s important to keep in mind where your data goes after the rescue process.

Ultimately, Love Lost is Petco’s national online database for hosting lost animals — but it also brings animal-focused professionals together to reach more people and speed up reunions.

Weight-loss drug reduced migraine frequency in small study

Beyond diabetes control and weight management, GLP-1s could have yet another benefit: helping with migraines.

In a small study, a GLP-1 drug shrank the number of days people spent with a migraine by almost half in a given month.

Presented at the European Academy of Neurology Congress in Helinski, Finland, on June 21, the results suggest promising future uses of the popular obesity and diabetes drugs.

WHO SHOULD BE TAKING WEIGHT-LOSS DRUGS? DOCTORS SHARE BEST CANDIDATES

Nearly 40 million Americans deal with migraines, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) — and for many, they’re more than just a headache.

Migraines are the second-leading cause of disability worldwide, the above agency states, with symptoms including severe headaches, nausea and sensitivity to light often disrupting daily activities.

Previous studies showed GLP-1s can reduce pressure inside the skull, which is a possible cause of migraines, according to multiple health organizations. (iStock)

Previous studies have shown that GLP-1s can reduce pressure inside the skull, which is a possible cause of migraines, according to multiple health organizations.

Neurologist and study lead Simone Braca of the University of Naples Federico II in Italy, along with his colleagues, explored whether liraglutide, an earlier version of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs), could help migraine sufferers.

“Most patients felt better within the first two weeks and reported quality of life improved significantly.”

Thirty-one adults, 26 of them women, got daily injections of liraglutide for 12 weeks. The participants, who all met the criteria for obesity, also continued to take their current migraine medications.

At the start of the experiment, participants reported headaches about 20 days out of a month. After 12 weeks of liraglutide, the average number dropped to about 11 days.

“Most patients felt better within the first two weeks and reported quality of life improved significantly,” said Braca in a press release.

The relief from migraines lasted for the full three-month observation period, the researcher noted, although weight loss was “modest and statistically non-significant.”

WEIGHT-LOSS MEDICATIONS MAY ALSO BENEFIT COMMON MEDICAL PROBLEM, STUDY FINDS

“Liraglutide is a ‘middle-aged’ GLP-1, with Ozempic and Mounjaro being newer,” Dr. Sue Decotiis, a triple board-certified weight loss specialist in New York City, told Fox News Digital.

Decotiis, who was not involved in the study, said that liraglutide is not as effective as its newer cousins for weight loss or diabetes, and is not frequently used for these purposes.

“Many pharmacies are not even stocking it due to declining demand, yet it gets into the brain well enough to reduce migraines,” she noted.

Potential limitations

The trial didn’t include a comparison group, and participants and researchers all knew that everyone received liraglutide, the researchers noted.

Mild gastrointestinal side effects (mainly nausea and constipation) occurred in 38% of participants, but did not lead to treatment discontinuation.

Further research may include other groups, such as control groups and people without obesity, to compare the drug’s effects.

“The study was very small,” Decotiis confirmed to Fox News Digital.

“The benefit lasted for the full three-month observation period, even though weight loss was modest and statistically non-significant,” said the study researcher. (iStock)

Given its size and brief duration, the findings could be limited until further research is conducted, according to the expert.

The researchers also tested only one drug, liraglutide, “which is not used as frequently in the general population as semaglutide or tirzepatide are,” Decotiis added.

Next, the team is planning a randomized, double-blind trial that will also measure pressure inside the skull.

“We also want to determine whether other GLP-1 drugs can deliver the same relief, possibly with even fewer gastrointestinal side effects,” Braca said in the same press release.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on youth and students’ federations to adhere to the right political orientation, deepen reform and innovation, and, under the Party’s leadership, score new achievements on the new journey.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks in a congratulatory letter to a session of the All-China Youth Federation and a congress of the All-China Students’ Federation, which opened in Beijing Wednesday morning.

On behalf of the CPC Central Committee, Xi extended congratulations and greetings to young people of all ethnic groups and from all walks of life, as well as young students and young Chinese overseas.

Over the past five years, youth and students’ federations at all levels have acted proactively and worked diligently, showcasing the vigorous and upward spirit of the new generation of Chinese youth, Xi said in the letter.

He noted that young people have a great role to play as China strives to build a strong country and realize national rejuvenation on all fronts through Chinese modernization, urging them to maintain firm ideals and convictions, foster a sense of responsibility to the country, and shoulder their historic mission.

Xi called on Party organizations at all levels to strengthen their leadership of youth work, support the work of youth and students’ federations, and create favorable conditions for the healthy growth and success of young people and students so that they can make contributions to the country.

Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening meeting, which gathered about 3,000 participants.

Shi Taifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee’s Organization Department, read out Xi’s letter at the meeting.

Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, addressed the meeting on behalf of the CPC Central Committee.

Noting that Xi’s congratulatory letter has provided an important guideline for further advancing the development of China’s youth movement, Li emphasized the importance of thoroughly understanding and fully implementing Xi’s instructions so that greater accomplishments can be made in the Party’s work related to youths.

The meetings will summarize the work of the All-China Youth Federation and the All-China Students’ Federation over the past five years and outline work plans for the next five years.

Office leasing by co-working operators in Jan-Jun up 48% to 65 lakh sq ft in top 7 cities: Colliers

Co-working centre operators have rented 65 lakh square feet of office space during the January-June period this year across seven major cities, up 48 per cent on an annual basis, on rising demand for managed and flexible workspaces from corporates, according to Colliers India.

Co-working operators leased 44 lakh square feet in the corresponding period of 2024 calendar year across seven cities — Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Bengaluru.

The co-working operators take office spaces on rent from real estate developers and property owners and then sub-lease it to corporates of all sizes.

Although many corporates have started opting managed office space provided by co-working operators to save cost and hassles, a large number of companies still take conventional workspaces directly from builders and property owners.

Colliers India data showed that the total gross leasing or absorption of office space rose 13 per cent to 337 lakh (33.7 million) square feet during January-June 2025 across these seven cities, from 299 lakh (29.9 million) in the year-ago period.

“Flexible spaces are increasingly establishing themselves as a key demand driver in India’s office market. Given the current momentum, flex spaces are likely to define contours of commercial real estate in India throughout 2025 and beyond,” said Vimal Nadar, National Director and Head of Research, Colliers India.

Commenting on the data, Darshan Govindaraju, Executive Director at Bengaluru-based Vaishnavi Group, said the surge in office space leasing can be attributed to the robust addition of Grade A office spaces across micro markets in the top seven cities which are attracting occupiers from across the globe.

“This, coupled with the sustained confidence of technology enterprises in the India growth story and the robust addition of their GCCs (Global Capability Centres), is helping shore up leasing in these markets,” he added.

Manas Mehrotra, Founder of 315Work Avenue, said co-working spaces have emerged as the defining feature of India’s rapidly evolving commercial real estate.

“There continues to be huge traction for flex space from corporates of all sizes as flexible workspace has become a key component in the overall real estate portfolio of corporates to enhance employee productivity, foster collaboration and optimise operational costs by scaling up or down as per business requirements,” he added.

Shesh Rao Paplikar, Founder & CEO, BHIVE Workspaces, said the India growth story continues to capture the mindspace of global organisations with their continued investment in the country’s technology, GCC, BFSI, insurance and other sectors.

Flexible managed workspace is acting as a catalyst in driving consistent growth in office space leasing, he added.

See the Savannah Bananas live this holiday weekend, via Roku

The Savannah Bananas, the team that went viral playing a hilarious brand of baseball, are coming this Sunday to a streamer near you.

Could there be a more exciting Fourth of July weekend, America? No. No, there could not be.

Sunday at 12:30 p.m. local time, 3:30 p.m. Eastern, the Bananas have a rematch against the Firefighters, the team they played at Anaheim Stadium at the end of May. That game will go down at Boston’s Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox, and will be streamed live on the Roku Channel.

“We can’t wait to bring the fast-paced game of Banana Ball to new fans all over the country on Roku!” Savannah Bananas owner Jesse Cole said in a news release. “And you better believe that we’ve got some surprises in store for Fenway!”

Guess there’s little or no reason, except maybe having no internet access, to wait until the CW does its own broadcast of the Bananas playing the Texas Tailgaters on July 27 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

“Banana Ball” — for those who don’t have TikTok, Instagram, Facebook Reels, X or any Bananas-loving real-world friends — incorporates humor, gymnastics, lip-syncs and snappy dance choreography in an exhibition baseball game with rules that definitely don’t match those of Major League Baseball (though many of the players once had MLB aspirations).

The Savannah Bananas, a minor league baseball club, went on their first ever “World Tour” this year, taking their unique brand of baseball to various cities across America.

Only the Bananas deliver baby races, a dancing umpire and backflips before balls are caught in the outfield. Can’t get that in Oklahoma City. Plus the games are limited to two hours max, something even the much-loved MLB pitch clock can’t deliver.

This year, the team has sold out 18 major league ballparks, plus three football stadiums with capacities of more than 70,000.

Tickets typically are available only through a lottery — and last time we checked the wait-list for that lottery, it was more than 3 million names long. Try to join it now and the Bananas website will tell you sure, go ahead, but be prepared to hold your horses till next season, my friend. Last season’s games drew a million fans total.

“There is truly no sports experience with the same action as a Savannah Bananas game,” said Joe Franzetta, the head of Roku Media’s sports division, in the news release. “We look forward to using the power of our platform to amplify the game directly to both die-hard audiences and millions of new fans about to discover something special.”

As owner Cole told The Times back in 2022, “We’ve always been very clear about our goal. We exist to make baseball fun.”

Folks with a Roku TV or who stream through a Roku device should be good to go for Sunday’s free broadcast. The Roku Channel can also be accessed online at TheRokuChannel.com and on iOS and Android devices and various and sundry smart TVs.

And remember to set your DVR to record the CW on July 27.

Nothing Phone (3): After a long wait, Nothing has finally launched its first true flagship smartphone, Phone (3), in India and globally. According to the company, the design of the phone (3) is an evolution of Nothing’s iconic design. In addition, it features the new Glyph Matrix, a bold geometric aesthetic, premium materials, and a significant performance boost, it added.

“Tech has become boring; every phone looks the same, feels the same, does the same. That’s why we took our time. After two years of focused development, Phone (3) is our answer: a flagship built to make tech feel personal again,” said Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing.

“To spark creativity, reflect identity, and give people more control over how they connect and create. At Nothing, we don’t follow trends, we build with intention, and we build with our community,” he added.

Nothing Phone (3): Design & Display

According to the company, the design of the Phone (3) is inspired by modern architecture, and its new tri-column layout adds rhythm and structure. The front has a similar 1.87 mm bezel, and the company claims it is 18 per cent thinner than the phone (2). Also, it has a 6.67” AMOLED display and an IP68 rating.

Nothing Phone (3): Processor and Battery

The phone (3) features the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and a 5500mAh silicon-carbon battery. The company claims that it offers next-generation image processing, faster AI and gaming performance, and better efficiency than the phone (2).

Phone (3): Newly Introduced Glyph Matrix

With the launch of Phone (3), Nothing has also introduced the all-new Glyph Matrix. It is a micro-LED display on the back that is designed to reduce screen time and streamline how users receive key information. “From app-specific alerts to contact-based notifications and real-time progress indicators, Glyph Matrix lets you stay informed at a glance, without getting pulled into endless scrolling,” the company said in an official release.

Nothing Phone (3): Key features

Phone (3) comes with some interesting features such as

Essential Search – It is a smart search bar that can be accessed with a swipe up from the home screen. It helps to search across contacts, photos, files – and get instant answers too, from weather to calendar to local spots.

Flip to Record – Long-press the Essential Key and turn your phone face down to transcribe and summarize meetings.

Essential Space – A calm, central place for your ideas, notes, and content, all organised by AI.

Nothing Phone (3): Price

Phone (3) will be available in Black and White colour options, with two configuration variants:

  • All the consumers who pre-book the Nothing Phone (3) or purchase the device on 15th July will also receive 1-year additional extended warranty
  • Nothing will also offer up to 24 months of No-Cost EMI options across leading banks.

Nothing Phone (3): Availability

The Nothing Phone (3) will go on sale via Flipkart, Flipkart Minutes, Vijay Sales, Croma, and all leading retail stores starting from July 15, 2025.

The Australian outback is gaining momentum among Indian travellers, and for all the good, holistic reasons. Outback is the vast stretches of unpopulated, semi-arid regions, remote barren land, gorges, red rock landscapes, rugged trails, canyons with clear skies, far from the mainland. This semi-arid wilderness may feel like you are about to get lost, especially how disconnected it may feel from the mainland, but the raw and rugged side of nature for many helps to find their way back to themselves, offering a chance to slow down and enjoy the adventure. Outback shows a new side of nature, different from the mainstream greenery.

He explained, “Indian travellers are increasingly drawn to non-traditional wellness experiences that involve outdoor exploration. Australia’s vast outback, with red deserts, Aboriginal culture, and endless skies, is a treasure often overlooked. For Indian travellers seeking to reconnect with nature, the outback offers unique wellness experiences that blend adventure and well-being practices. Outback escapes offer restorative journeys in Australia’s varied desert topography, appealing to travellers seeking inner calm and wellness amid nature.”

John McEnroe’s most dramatic Wimbledon moment in ‘electrifying’ film | Films | Entertainment

Bringing one of  the greatest tennis rivalries to the big screen is director Janus Metz Pedersen’s 2017 biographical sports drama Borg vs. McEnroe.

With a screenplay penned by Ronnie Sandahl, Borg vs. McEnroe sees Sverrir Guðnason in the role of tennis great Björn Borg, while Shia LaBeouf portrays the legendary John McEnroe. Supported by Stellan Skarsgård, Tuva Novotny and Robert Emms, the film has been praised for the cast’s stellar performances.

Borg vs. McEnroe focuses on the professional tennis rivalry between its namesakes — which culminated at the men’s singles final at the 1980 Wimbledon Championship — where the two faced each other in what has often been described as one of the most brilliant and dramatic tennis matches of all time.

The sports biopic is a joint production between Sweden, Denmark, and Finland and grossed $3.4million at the global box-office on a production budget of 65 million SEK (approximately $7.5 million).

With an 84 per cent approval rating on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, Borg vs. McEnroe received fairly positive feedback from critics, with one writing: “Like the sport itself, the film is dramatic and beautiful. Tennis has simply never looked better on the big screen thanks to sublime cinematography and a career performance by Shia LaBeouf as McEnroe.”

A second reviewer who was impressed with the lead actors wrote: “LaBeouf and Gudnason are electrifying in the best on-screen rivalry since Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl battled it out in Ron Howard’s Rush.”

While a third critic said: “Borg vs. McEnroe is a taut, suspenseful, pitch-perfect retelling of what many fans and tennis historians consider to be the greatest match ever played.”

In an interview with Variety in 2016, LaBeouf spoke about his portrayal of McEnroe and shared: “[McEnroe and I have] everything in common. Passionate. Perfectionist. Narcissistic. I’m a bit of a caricature also. You look for parallels in your life, and I’m lucky because there is a lot here. I got nothing but love and respect for him.”

Talking about the script, LaBeouf said: “The script is brilliant. We are all here because of that. I cried the first time I read it. It’s not based on a book or a biography. It’s based on hard work.”

Critics weren’t the only ones impressed with Borg vs. McEnroe. Viewers also had positive things to say about the Pedersen directorial,  with one calling it: “A great movie for a sports or non sports fan, extremely gripping, emotions are felt through the story telling.”

While another fan wrote: “Great movie for a sports or non sports fan, extremely gripping, emotions are felt through the story telling.”

And a third audience review stated: “Amazing film, honestly may be one of my favourite sports films of all time. Was gripped from start to finish. It’s clearly not really about tennis, more the pressure of greatness. But the film was done to perfection.”

Borg vs. McEnroe is available to stream on Disney+.
